Your words reflect you

Good words will….

From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good, and the work of a man’s hands shall come back to him [as a harvest].

Proverbs 12:14 (AMP)

Two words that will cause you a problem ….

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad.

Proverbs 12:25 (AMP)

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Matthew 6:25 read upto verse 34

The consequences of wrong words …….

But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

Matthew 12:36 (AMP)

The Burdens we can carry.

Hi everyone, the aim of this blog is to help you let go of some of the burdens, and self-doubt that you carry around and that weigh you down.  This time we are giving you part of our BWYCBiC training programme that we have delivered to hundreds of Christians.  The vast majority have seen breakthroughs after completing the exercise we are giving you and it is our hope and prayer that you have a breakthrough.

A good place to start is with a scripture from the bible which I have no doubt all heard, however, this fabulous scripture has made a real impact in your life.  For many, I would guess not.

“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28–30).

The word burden comes from the Greek word baros which means a weight. When you put those together, to bear a burden means to take away or carry off the weight off your or someone else is experiencing.

Ok let’s be realistic from time to time depending on circumstances we all carry some sort of burden and for some of us w let them go and feel lighter.  What I am talking about is those people especially Christians carry burdens around with them all most if not all the time.

When we delivered our training program to Christians it is surprising how many people recognize what we are about to share and how much lighter they felt afterwards, We hope that what you are about to undertake has a positive impact on you.

Time to end myopic leadership

Why this subject, simply that some leaders I have personally come across in the church, don’t lead, they dictate.

This is not about a person’s faith nor their relationship with God, it is about the lack of leadership skills, an inability to communicate effectively (it’s not about a sermon) and understand people and the lack of ability to transform a church into an effective body.

A leader in my view should take the lead from Moses how he coached Joshua to lead, developing him in order that he grew, in this case to lead Israel into the Promised Land.  Also Nehemiah how he used what we call now action centred leadership to bring people together in order to build the walls of Jerusalem  These two simple examples are in total opposition to what I have witnessed, leaders, holding on to the first part of Hebrews 13:17 “obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them”, woe betide anyone who suggested that there is another way for they found themselves ostracized and as the some of the worst leaders in history have said “ there is only one way, my way”!!  Update, it is still in the church today and has no place in the church today.

Worry Not

@bwycbic

So many Christians ‘worry or are anxious ‘why? Do we not have enough food, drink, money or whatever it is. The Bible tells us in Philippines 4v5 not to worry or be anxious but to pray and God will easy and remove your worries or anxieties.

Worry is an anxious way of thinking and speaking about yourself. This causes a behaviour change such as stress or agitation. Our God wants us to be in faith and be at peace. If you haven’t gathered worry is bad for you and you want to break the habit read on.

The Bible is even more clearer in Matthew 6 v 25-34. These verses are from Jesus himself, He says don’t worry. Now I hear you say that’s easy for Him to say that but I can’t stop worrying its the situation I’m in.

As you are a person of faith and believe in our God read Matthew 6 v 25-34. Really focus in on verse 30 either in KJV, NLT, AMPC or ESV at the end of this verse it says, ‘You of little FAITH’!

Jesus is challenging you to increase your faith, cast aside worry or and anxiety and step into deeper faith and be at peace.

When I read these verses and verse 30 hit me it told me I had little faith. So what did I do about it? It wasn’t easy but I reframed worry and changed it to concerned. Everything Iused the word worry I changed it to concerned and asked for forgiveness.

Now that sounds easy but it took me almost a year to change my thinking, self-talk and spoken word. Now it’s established I automatically and very very rarely I do say worry, however if I do it is followed by concerned very quickly and I ask God for forgiveness.

It’s a challenge however if you have read this far why not challenge yourself and STOP saying WORRY. Amen

Jesus Heals a Man Let Down through the Roof of a House

Read these verses then read the think stop at the bottom.

Like 5 v 18-26

17 On one of the days while Jesus was teaching, some proud religious law-keepers and teachers of the Law were sitting by Him. They had come from every town in the countries of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was there to heal them. 18 Some men took a man who was not able to move his body to Jesus. He was carried on a bed. They looked for a way to take the man into the house where Jesus was.

Pebbles or Sand

A valuable lesson for a happier life ~ A short story to help you sort out the rocks and sand in your life.

A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks about 2″ in diameter.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.

Good Intentions:

Are good intentions slowing you down from achieving all that God has planned for you?
Remember Hebrews 12:1b NLT ~ “Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress …”
Reflective story:
Five birds are sitting on a telephone wire. Two decide to fly south. How many are left?
I’d hazard a guess that a fair number of people said three.
